Hi! I’m Kate
I have been working as a tattoo artist since 2008, going freelance in 2011 under Black Cat Tattoos.
I love colourful, bold designs, traditional/nu skool, blackwork/dotwork, but can turn my hand to most genres.
I enjoy conventions: the atmosphere, travelling and meeting new people.
In 2010 I gained 1st in the small female colour category and 2nd traditional category at the East Coast Tattoo Expo in Essex. In 2012 I won 1st in traditional at The Norwich Body Art Festival.
I originally trained as a textile designer, gaining a BA (hons) in Textiles and Decoration.
After qualifying as an art teacher (secondary education) I worked in a school for boys with behavioural problems.
I am also a qualified holistic therapist and enjoy nature, animals and all things spiritual.
I am particularly interested in traditional tattoos, and would love to travel the world to learn more about them.
Jenny Clarke Designs have recently published another set of flash sheets of my drawings in addition to the two which were published last year (Click here to see them).
I have also illustrated a children’s book which I hope to see in print in the near future.
